(Obviously, for a country like China, the number of 950 people per doctor is misleading: the situation is much better in big cities, especially in Eastern China, whereas in the rural and western parts there are hardly any doctors at all. Also, a lot of Chinese doctors would barely qualify even as nurses in most “developed” countries …)
